DID YOU KNOW...

A new study by the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) surveyed 67,000 households and found that 1,6 million American teenagers and young adults have misused stimulants including Ritalin during a 12-month period, and that 75,000 "showed signs of addiction."

MENTAL DISORDER HOAX EXPOSED

Controversy exploded in the United States last week, when leading newspapers including the New York Times and Washington Post revealed intimate financial ties between psychiatry’s leading “authorities” who determine what constitutes a mental disorder, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Based on a study, conducted by researchers of the University of Massachusetts, the New York Times reported that more than 50% of psychiatric “experts” who worked on the 1994 edition of psychiatry’s bible, the “Diagnostic & Statistical Manual,” or DSM, have received funding from drugmakers. A staggering100% of the members on the Schizophrenia and Mood Disorder panels were found to be having financial ties with the drug industry. Funding of DSM “experts” included gifts, grants, honoraria, equity holdings in a drug company, paid advisory board membership and many others.

The DSM contains a listing of so-called mental disorders which are voted for inclusion at annual American Psychiatric Association meetings. The voting process for mental disorders does not include scientific research or examination. The recommended treatments in the DSM include in all cases psychotropic drugs. Close to half a million American mental health workers use the DSM to “diagnose” disorders in their patients, leading to a growing epidemic of drug use. According to the New York Times, “Antidepressants were the 4th and leading class of drugs in 2004 with annual global sales totally [U.S.] $20.3 billion.”

“The very vocabulary of psychiatry is now defined at all levels by the pharmaceutical industry,” Dr. Irwin Savodnik, assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, told the Chicago Tribune. According to his calculations, the original 1952 DSM contained 107 mental disorders. By the fourth edition, that number had more than tripled to 365.

True Islamic Teachings vs. Psycho-Terror Fiction

By definition, Islam means “submission” (to the will of God). The religion’s followers have, for many centuries, made immeasurable contributions to thought, culture, science and art throughout the world—a rich and positive heritage mocked today by terror instigators who claim to act in its name.

Islamic leaders are setting the record straight. Read the full article on

The Drugging of Children

Since 1969, Freedom Magazine, a publication issued by the Church of psychiatric drugging of entire populations. Today, more than 17 million children worldwide are being given psychotropic drugs, leading to scores of suicides, heart attacks, strokes and other gruesome side effects.

Instead of improving education and promoting healthy diets for children, the "solution" has become to give them mind-altering drugs which, in many cases, are not even approved for young people under 18. The only beneficiaries in this epidemic are psychiatrists and their backers, the pharmaceutical industry. Their profits range in the billions while their deadly drugs are claiming lives on an almost daily basis.

Worldwide Criminal Rehab Program Now Reaches 30 Countries

Drugs are a serious social problem reaching all levels of society and all nations. Freedom Magazine has had several features over the years on drugs and such as this one in the Canadian edition of the magazine

One statistic that keeps coming up in the news is the relationship between drugs and crime, including this article from New Zealand that points out a rise of 28.8% in crimes involving co-called "new drugs."

There is a very effective program called Criminon that addresses the tie-in between drugs and crime.

Here's one thing I found about this program:
Criminon (which means “no crime”) is an international non-profit public benefit corporation dedicated to addressing the causes of criminality and through effective drug detoxification, education and common sense programs restore the criminal’s self-respect thus making them responsible for their actions so that they may become ethical and productive citizens.

Criminon's worldwide criminal rehabilitation program, based on the works of author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, continues to expand. Last year, this organization opened 23 new groups and implemented rehabilitation programs in seven new countries including Honduras, Guatemala, Ireland, New Zealand, Thailand, Venezuela and Pakistan. The Criminon program has now been adopted in more than 1950 prisons in 30 countries which makes this the largest criminal rehabilitation program in the world.

For more information about this program and how it has helped thousands of prisoners lead crime-free lives, visit www.criminon.org or criminoninfo@criminon.org.

In December 2006 the new Museum of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights opened, and the following was a story that was published at that time:

"It is vital to this country's freedom and to the strength of the American family to derail the psychiatric mental health violations and abuse of children and adults. By following CCHR's lead, taking action and raising public awareness of this critical issue, we can stop the chemical infestation and return human rights and dignity to all people." With these words, Georgia State Senator Nancy Schaefer, accompanied by community leaders, government officials and representatives of Congress, inaugurated one of the most important museums today--wholly dedicated to the most invasive and widespread violations of human rights--the psychiatric industry of death. A Hollywood house of horror--but this time not for entertainment. This unique exhibit is, unfortunately, every bit as real as life itself. If you want to know the truth about psychiatry and the drugging of millions world over, visit the Museum of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), at Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. For more information, see www.cchr.org.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights is an international watchdog group, co-founded by the Church of Scientology and Dr. Thomas S. Szasz. Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Scientologists' stand
on psychiatry comes from a deep concern about the brutality that is the hallmark of this practice.
