What is Freedom Magazine?

One of these is the Clearwater Freedom. Being the spiritual headquarters of the Scientology religion, a number of Scientology holidays are celebrated in this Florida city, including L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. Famous Scientology personalities such as Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center,Mr. David Miscavige and Executive Director International, Mr. Guillaume LeSevre, frequently speak at these celebrations to inform Scientologists of the expansion of the religion and significant events that have taken place. These are recorded, rapidly translated for Scientology missions and churches in non-English speaking countries, and are shipped out in time for Scientologists around the world to watch the celebration in the following weeks.
One particular speech by Mr. Miscavige, given in the summer of 2004, has been made into a DVD and is available at Church bookstores, and online at the Bridge Publications web site. It is called This is Scientology and in it Mr. Miscavige describes the social betterment programs supported by the Church, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers program, and the core beliefs of the religion.
Finding Solutions to a Troubled Society

As part of its mandate to provide news in the public interest, Freedom has regularly reported on the activities of individual organizations actively working to resolve such problems. See the special video reports on individuals providing effective help in their communities, at www.freedommag.org.
